EMDR Therapy
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. It is a highly effective evidenced-based treatment that utilizes bilateral stimulation (through eye movement, sound or tapping) to help clients rapidly resolve symptoms. We work with many diagnoses including PTSD, anxiety, depression and phobias. With our background in attachment oriented therapies, we can also help our clients use EMDR to heal from childhood and developmental trauma, abuse and neglect.
Evidence-based
EMDR is one of the most researched forms of therapy and is an effective treatment modality for hard to treat diagnoses, including PTSD.
Symptom reduction
EMDR is effective at targeting and reducing a wide range of symptoms like panic attacks, compulsive behaviors, excessive anger and even self-doubt and self-loathing.
Customizable
We're trauma informed and trained in cutting edge trauma modalities. We move at a customized pace that begins with regulating your nervous system.
Flexible
Many of our clients use EMDR in conjunction with other forms of treatment like AEDP and Somatic Experiencing so that they are addressing all parts of themselves in therapy.
Educated
Our team prioritizes training and education. We continue to consult with experts in the field so that we can offer you the best treatment experience possible.
Trauma Relief
Our focus on attachment theory in therapy allows us to apply the principles of EMDR to harder to treat issues such as CPTSD, chronic feelings of worthlessness, challenges with intimacy and other relationship problems that may be rooted in adverse childhood experiences.
